Ingredients

  • 1 butternut squash
  • 1 Tbs olive oil or spray oil
  • vinegar and sea salt to serve optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (Gas mark 6/390°F). Lightly brush or spray a baking tray with a little olive oil.
  • Peel and de-seed your butternut squash. With a crinkle cutter, cut into chunky fries, roughly 1 ½ cm thick.
  • Spread over the baking tray and drizzle with the remaining oil or spray with oil spray.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and turn all of the fries, then return to the oven and bake for a further 15 minutes until cooked through.
  • Sprinkle with vinegar and seas salt (optional) and serve immediately.

Notes

Notes: These fries are softer than traditional potato fries rather than crispy.
If you're following the Slimming World diet, use a spray oil like fry light rather than olive oil.
