Servings: 3 jumpers

Equipment

  • Christmas jumper shaped cookie cutter

Ingredients

  • 3 slices bread
  • butter or cream cheese
  • sliced ham
  • sliced chicken
  • ready-sliced cheese (I used red Leicester)

Instructions

  • Using a Christmas jumper shaped cookie cutter, cut Christmas jumper shapes from slices of wholemeal and white bread. Lightly butter each jumper shape or spread with cream cheese, being careful not to rip the bread.
  • Using the same cutter, cut jumper shapes from the ham and cheese then carefully place on top of the bread. (I cut the cheese in two halves as one slice of cheese wasn’t quite big enough for my cutter.)
  • Use mini cutters to cut festive shapes from ham, cheese and chicken and place on top of each jumper to decorate. Use offcuts to trim sleeves and collars if wanted.
  • Have fun with them, use your imagination and come up with as many designs as you like!
  • Serve immediately or carefully pack in a lunch box. (Jumpers can be stacked on top of each other in a lunch box if wanted.)

Notes

I used a Christmas jumper cookie cutter to make my Christmas jumper sandwiches, but you could also try cutting them into shape by hand. I also used mini Christmas themed plunger cutters, a mini snowflake cutter and some other mini bento cutters to cut the festive shapes that I used to decorate them.
