Ingredients

  • 1 slice white bread
  • 2 slices cheese
  • ¼ cucumber
  • edible candy eyeballs
  • 1 tsp cream cheese
  • Bamboo or plastic skewers

Instructions

  • Prepare all the ingredients: Slice the bread, cheese and cucumber into squares approx 2cm in size.
  • Thread the ingredients onto the skewers, alternating between bread and fillings. If packing for a lunch box, make sure you place cheese between the wet cucumber and the dry bread to avoid it going soggy in transit.
  • Using a little cream cheese as 'glue', fix 2 candy eyeballs near the top of each mummy kebab.
  • Repeat with more skewers until you have several mummy kebabs and all the ingredients have been used up.
  • Pack into a lunch box or serve immediately.

Notes

You could also pack or serve the prepared sandwich components separately (try popping them in silicone muffin cups to divide them up) and add a few skewers so that your kids can build their own before eating.
