Good morning and welcome to week 27 of our ‘What Kids Eat Wednesday’ linky! Every Wednesday, I and three other family bloggers (see details below) post this weekly linky to find the best kids food ideas, from fun food for kids, easy recipes for kids, school lunch ideas to easy and healthy recipes for your family and even learning and sensory activities for kids involving food.
Up to now, I’ve picked three of my favourite posts from the previous week to feature here. This week I’m going to try something different – in attempt to share the love and feature a few more of you, each week I’m going to pick a different theme chosen from the posts that have been linked up the previous week and create a mini round-up sharing as many posts that are relevant to the chosen theme as I can. This week’s theme is ‘family meal ideas with a difference’ and I’ve picked five yummy posts that fit the theme to feature today. A big thank you to everyone who linked up last few week, there were some great posts linked up (do pop back to last week’s post and check them all out) we’d love it if you would like to come back and link up again this week!
First of the delicious meal ideas I’ve picked to share today is this yummy Toddler Friendly Salad Platter from Mummy Do It – this simple recipe includes a great little tip for helping to get healthy food into fussy eaters!
Next up are these gorgeous Buddha Bowls for Kids from Feeding Finn. Somehow the Buddha Bowl trend had passed me by, but this meal idea looks amazing and reading this post inspired me to go googling and read all about what Buddha bowls are – I can’t wait to give them a try myself!
This Persian Style Rice with Crispy Golden Crust from Unicorns in the Kitchen also caught my eye – doesn’t it look amazing?! I’ll definitely have to attempt to make something similar, I do so love rice and the many ways to serve it!
These Tuna Fish Cakes with Corn and Sesame Seeds from Good Food Week are sure to be a hit with kids – they’re full of healthy ingredients including beans in the place of potato – yum!
Last but not least these Filo Pastry Parcels Stuffed with Ricotta, Chard, Lemon and Mint from Cook and Kid sound absolutely gorgeous, what a delicious combination of flavours!
