I'm really excited this week to be able to reveal the brand new Eats Amazing website!
Over the last year, I've been working very hard behind the scenes to make this site as user-friendly as possible, gradually adding in new features to the site and of course lots of brand new recipes and tutorials that I hope that you will find useful and inspiring. If you are a regular reader, you may have noticed that the site is looking a little different this week, with a completely new design in place, from the pretty new header (more about that below) and redesigned front page to the updated recipe and tutorial indexes. There's more going on behind the scenes too, as I do my best to speed up the site so you can get straight to the recipes, lunches and fun food ideas as quickly as possible!
So What's New?
I hope you find the following new features useful, some are brand new, some have been gradually added to the site over the last year.
Brand New Website Front Page with quick access buttons to all the important bits! As well as finding your way around the site via the menu bar, you can also find shortcuts to the most important (and hopefully useful!) parts of the website right under your fingertips on the front page.
Comprehensive Recipe Index - you can find shortcuts to all of the Eats Amazing recipe collections at the top of the recipe page, including some newly added recipe categories to help you find exactly what you're looking for. I add new recipes to the site every week, so do check back every now and again to see what is new!
Fun Food Tutorial Index - Eats Amazing is all about making food fun for kids, so as well as my extensive collection of family friendly recipes, I've also pulled together all my fun food ideas and tutorials into one place so you can find plenty of inspiration to put a smile on everyone's face!
Seasonal Fun Food Collections - holidays and seasons offer so much great inspiration for fun food that I've built up quite a collection of seasonal ideas over the last few years. I've pulled them all together in once place so you can find the everything you need as each holiday or season approaches!
Gorgeous New Website Header Design - on the subject of seasonal fun food, you may notice the Eats Amazing website header image changing to match the seasons as the year goes on! Huge thanks go to the amazingly talented Helen Braid of Ellie Illustrates, who created both the original design and the super cute seasonal variations. Love is in the air right now, but keep your eyes peeled for the another fun theme appearing soon!
Printable Recipe Cards - Every recipe or tutorial on the Eats Amazing site now has a recipe card at the end of the post so you can easily download and print copies of all the recipes you would like to try. A very big thank you to my lovely blogging friend Laura Light of Savings 4 Savvy Mums who spent hours painstakingly adding individual recipe cards to my back catalogue of over 200 recipes!
How to Make a Bento - with this ongoing project I'm pulling together absolutely everything you need to know to make the best packed lunches around! There's plenty of information available already (and of course my packed lunch ideas gallery with photos of over 450 real packed lunches to inspire you!) but I'll be adding even more as the year goes on to make it an ever more useful resource for you.
Eats Amazing Shop - I continue to regularly add new products to the Eats Amazing Shop, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for lots of exciting new products appearing this year to help you pack the BEST lunches and add fun to your food at every meal!
New About Me Page - Want to know more about Eats Amazing and the person behind it? Head over to the newly updated 'about me' page to learn more!
Last but not least, a huge thank you to Tom at at wptechcentre who helps keep the website working as it should be. Tom has helped enormously with the new site design too, I couldn't have done it without him!
I really hope that you enjoy the newly designed Eats Amazing website and find it a useful resource for making food fun for your kids. I'm always trying to improve things though, so I'd welcome your feedback and requests with open arms!
