Continuing the fun Valentines food theme, today I have a super simple fun food idea that's perfect for Valentines Day - love emoji oranges!
Be sure to check out my quick tutorial video so you can see just how easy these are to make!
These fun love inspired emoji oranges are perfect for popping in lunch boxes and lunch bags, after school snacks, serving up at a Valentines Day party or even at a wedding!
Inspiration for these oranges came from the fun emoji cupcakes I shared here on the blog earlier this week - it got me thinking about what else would make a great edible emoji and the oranges in my fruit bowl popped straight out at me!
I based these cute Valentines oranges on three of the love emoji's - heart eyes emoji, blowing a kiss emoji and in love emoji, but you could of course create any of the emoji faces to suit different occasions.
Love Emoji Oranges
Ingredients:
- easy peeler oranges
- marker pens
Method:
Select your 'prettiest oranges' - round with minimal scratches on the skin.
Using marker pens, draw your chosen emoji face on the top of an orange.
Here's a close up of the Valentines inspired emojis I recreated in orange form:
Heart eyes emoji
Blowing a kiss emoji
Blushing in love emoji
Repeat until you have as many emoji oranges as you need.
Note: I used non-toxic sharpie pens to draw the emoji faces on the oranges, as the skin will be discarded and not actually eaten. You can also use a food safe marker if you prefer.
Enjoy!
