    Zog the Alien Lunch

After all the excitement of a real alien landing in Small Child's school playground (see this post for more details!), he requested an alien themed lunch, featuring Zog (the alien).  I was happy to comply - with the aid of some polka dot picks, I think I could make an alien out of pretty much any food!

In this lunch Small Child had a pile of jumbo rice cakes, topped with a mini Babybel cheese (peeled and cut in half, then dotted with edible pen) to make eyes, and decorated with polka dot picks to make Zog the alien.  On the side he had cucumber disks (planets) and raw yellow pepper stars plus a yellow pepper rocket. He also had rolled ham, skewered on rocket picks, and fruit juice stars, as a special treat.

Eats Amazing - Zog the Alien themed lunchI also popped a banana into his lunch bag (not shown).  Small Child was absolutely delighted with his Zog the alien lunch!

While I was making this lunch, I realised that I've used polka dot picks quite a few times to make aliens for Small Child.  Here are some of the others that I've made:

You can find the polka dot picks in the Eats Amazing Shop - they are also great for making edible snails and butterflies!
