Once again it's been a while since I shared any new bento lunch ideas here on the blog - I might have to make it my New Year's resolution to share some new lunches every week in the coming year! I've still been making lunches every day of course, so I've got stacks and stacks of lunch photos sitting on my laptop waiting patiently for me to share them, but life has been rather manic of late so I just haven't managed to write them up. One day I'll get organised!
Today's lunch is a simple transport themed lunch. Whenever I'm in need of some fresh inspiration, I dig out my favourite Lunch Punch cutters as they are so perfect for making fun lunches with minimal effort! Both of my boys love the train cutter, so I used it for this lunch.
In this lunch I packed a ham sandwich on white bread, cut into a train with a cutter from the Lunch Punch Vrrrm! Set and decorated with slices of baby cucumber. On the side I packed edamame beans, more baby cucumber slices, a sliced plum and a mini Babybel cheese. I decorated the lunch with a couple of transport themed cupcake picks and some transport themed bento picks too. This lunch was packed in our blue Yumbox Panino bento box.
You may be interested to hear that the Lunch Punch cutters are in the process of a complete overhaul - with completely new packaging and everything! Some of the designs and sets are being discontinued, although there are some awesome new designs on their way to replace them, so if you've been thinking about buying any of the current sets, get in there quick, because when they're gone, some of them will be gone for good. We have all 5 current lunch punch cutters sets in the Eats Amazing Shop - while stocks last only so grab yours quick!
