Recently I've been trying to keep Small Child's lunches more simple to make, whilst still keeping the fun in them. Our lovely Small Baby is going through a serious 'no sleep' phase at the moment and it's not doing a lot for my speed and efficiency in the mornings before school! When I remember, I try to plan out lunch the night before, so that I just have to put it together with minimal thinking required in the morning.
In this lunch Small Child had a sandwich filled with garlic Philadelphia cheese and a slice of ham, cut into a kitty shape using the CuteZcute cutter. I added a little bow pick to it in the style of Hello Kitty. On the side he had some more ham, rolled and skewered on bow picks, an apple, cored, sliced and dipped in orange juice, topped with cat shaped mini fork picks, raw red pepper sticks (under the carrot) and some raw carrot, cut into strands with a julienne peeler, and secured with a couple of polka-dot picks to make wool.I also added a small reusable food pouch filled with organic strawberry yoghurt to his lunch bag (not shown). Small Child is still a massive fan of cats, so he enjoyed his cat lunch!
