We couldn’t have a pile of Christmas themed lunches without a Santa! Fortunately today the Bento Bloggers and Friends are holding a Ho Ho Hop, so Santa Claus is coming to lunch! When you’ve finished reading this post, click on the button at the bottom to see what awesome lunch the next bento blogger in the hop has in store for you.
In this lunch Small Child had an English muffin, split and filled with tuna and cucumber slices. I decorated the muffin by wrapping it with a strip of black felt, to which I had glued a yellow foam square to make it look like Santa’s belt. On the side he had carrot disks and yellow pepper ‘presents’, which were decorated with edible marker pen, a halved and stoned plum, decorated with a plastic Santa cupcake pick, some green grapes, a festive Santa mini Babybel cheese and a mini chocolate Santa.
I also packed some organic strawberry yoghurt in a reusable food pouch (not shown). I thought this lunch was simple but effective, although in retrospect it does look a little like Santa has two heads in my photo!
As I mentioned above, this post is part of a Santa themed blog hop. Click on the button below to see what Kendra of Biting The Hand That Feeds You has made. You can then work your way through each bento blog in the hop to see a whole host of creative Santa lunches, and when you find yourself back here you’ll have completed the hop!
Happy Ho Ho Hopping!
