    Rocket Themed Lunch & #FunFoodFriday

Today is Fun Food Friday, have you been making any fun food recently?  Whether it be lovely lunches, creative cakes, or a recipe you’ve cooked with your children, please link up below and share the inspiration around.  Anything goes, as long as it’s edible!

This week Small Child had a day at school that was so exciting, he could hardly get the words out quick enough to tell me about it.  Apparently, a 'real live' rocket crash landed in the school playground one evening, piloted by an alien named Zog.  "A real alien Mummy! My teachers saw him!"  The wreckage was there for all to see (cordoned off for health and safety reasons of course!) and conveniently this all happened just in time for the class topic about space.  Which brings me to today's lunch, which has a rocket theme!

In this lunch Small Child had a square silicone cup filled with leftover rice, and a triangle silicone cup filled with stars cut from raw organic carrot and cucumber.  Together with some red pepper strips they made a rocket, which I decorated with a couple of circles cut from red pepper, and some tiny stars cut from carrot.  On the side he had some rolled wafer thin chicken slices, skewered on rocket picks, and red grapes and strawberries, decorated with star picks.

At Small Child's request, I also packed a My Lil Pouch filled with organic blueberry yoghurt.
