I wish I'd thought to time myself when I made this lunch, because it was thrown together so quickly, I surprised even myself. By quickly, I mean "Oh my goodness is that the time, we need to leave for school in less than 5 minutes and I haven't even thought about what you're having for lunch, now put your shoes on!" kind of fast. Frankly I'm amazed that I managed to snap a photo of it too, we were running VERY late that day! Still, with a bit of rushing, huffing and puffing, we managed to keep our late attendance record squeaky clean, by the skin of our teeth!
In this lunch Small Child had a bagel, split and filled with tuna mayonnaise. I split a Babybel Cheese in half, added a couple of blueberries to make eyes, and popped a few sugar snap peas into the top to give him some hair. On the side he had cucumber slices, a few more sugar snap peas, and a large handful of blueberries and raspberries. I added a few 3D mini animal picks at the end to make it a little more fun.
I also put a reusable food pouch full of organic strawberry yoghurt into his lunch bag (not shown). Small Child was very relieved that I managed to make him lunch in time, I think he feared that in all the rush he wouldn't get any!
