A short post today, as I'm currently putting a lot of work into an equipment page for the website, with all my recommendations for lunchboxes etc. Hopefully it will be a useful resource! The lunch I'm sharing today was a quick and easy one to throw together. Small Child requested pitta pockets and 'spaghetti cheese', so I put them together to make simple boats in the ocean.
In this lunch Small Child had a wholewheat pitta bread, toasted, cut in half and opened out to make pitta pockets. I filled them with tuna mayonnaise and sweetcorn, then added a simple 'sail' made from a triangle of carrot and a stick of red pepper, and a handful of spaghetti cheese for the sea. On the side he had red pepper sticks, slices of cucumber with carrot fishes inserted into them, a sliced plum, and a clementine, peeled and broken into segments. I decorated the lunch with our super cute ocean friends food picks to go with the general ocean theme.
Small Child finished off all of this lunch, so I'm assuming he enjoyed it!
