Monkey Lunch for my Cheeky Monkey

Small Child has been really taken with the pocket sandwiches I have been making him recently, using the CuteZcute Animal Palz Set, and requested one when I was getting ready to make this lunch.  I was planning on sandwiches anyway, so it was no bother to make them into cute shapes while I was at it! The seeded bread I used wasn't ideal for showing up the design well (it did look better 'in the flesh' though), but Small Child was happy so that's all that matters.  In case you're wondering about the crusts - I am a great believer in avoiding waste where possible, so if the crusts don't get eaten at the time then I freeze them to be whizzed up to make bread crumbs for future use.

I used the monkey CuteZcute design for this lunch (I mistook it for a bear in a previous blog post, but someone was kind enough to point out my error!), so the whole lunch became monkey themed - perfect for my little cheeky monkey!

In this lunch Small Child had some ham and houmous sandwiches on seeded bread, organic carrot and cucumber sticks, mini bread sticks, a cheese string, red grapes and organic natural yoghurt with a little honey swirled in.  I added a few dried apricots, and decorated the lunch with monkey picks from this set, this set and this set, adding some cucumber on a tree pick to finish it off.

Small Child obviously enjoyed this lunch, because there wasn't a crumb left!

Such a cute lunch! Filled with really fab stuff - wouldn't mind a lunch like that myself! :)) Think I need to get some of those sandwich cutter things!
