Once again it's been a while since I shared a bento lunch here on the blog, but I have still been making them daily for my 8 year old to take to school. This week it's been all about the Valentines themed lunches, and I actually remembered to take a photo for once of this cute and easy love bugs lunch!
I fear this may be the last year I can get away with cutesy Valentines themed lunches for my older son, as he told me the pink heart picks in this lunch were a bit embarrassing. He know he liked it really though, he's still a little softy at heart, but I think I will have to be more careful not to trash his 'street cred' in future!
In this lunch I packed 2 brioche rolls, split and filled with ham and gruyere cheese and decorated with eyeball bento picks and heart bento picks for antennae. On the side I packed cucumber slices topped with a heart shaped piece of red pepper, a peeled clementine, blueberries and dried cranberries. I finished the lunch off with heart shaped mini fork picks. This lunch was packed in our red Yumbox Panino bento box.
