Happy Valentines Day! I hope you’ve enjoyed the fun Valentines Day food ideas I’ve shared here on the blog this year, the Apple Love Bugs have been a particular hit over on my Facebook page this week. In my last Valentines themed post for this year I’m sharing the simple bento lunch that I packed for my 8 year old this morning. We were running late (as usual!) so time was tight but I managed to find an extra minute or two to pack plenty of love and hearts into his lunch box!
In this lunch I packed a roast beef sandwich on seeded bread, which I decorated with a cute monster cupcake pick and a couple of heart bento picks. On the side I packed heart themed carrot and cucumber ‘coins’ (click on the link if you’d like to find out how to make them), red and green grapes skewered on heart food picks and a mini Babybel cheese, which I decorated by cutting a heart from the wax and adding eyeball bento picks. I sprinkled a few mini marshmallows around the cheese as a little treat. This lunch was packed in our Boon Trunk lunch box.
