Today I'm sharing another easy Halloween lunch idea - this time it's a simple spider bento lunch made in our blue Monbento Tresor bento box, which we've continued to use since reviewing it this summer and still really like! You can find my review of the box here if you're interested: Monbento Tresor Bento Box Review. Though I'm really not a fan of spiders *shudder*, they do make a fun theme to base a lunch around, especially at this time of year!
In this lunch Small Child had a spider sandwich of houmous and German sausage slices on brown bread. I decorated it by cutting a spider from the top piece of bread using a spider cookie cutter, then added an eyes bento pick and spider web cupcake ring to decorate.
In the smaller compartments I packed sliced strawberries topped with a spider cupcake ring, raw red pepper and carrot sticks and a Babybel cheese, which I decorated by carving a quick web into the wax with the tip of a sharp knife.
I also packed a separate snack with this lunch as this school year Small Child now needs a snack for break time. For his snack Small Child had a small handful of dried banana chips topped with one of our spider energy balls which I packed in one of the smaller of his Tumtum Bugs nesting snack boxes. You can find the recipe for this fun spooky snack here: Spooky Spider Energy Balls Snack Recipe.

I love these ideas, my little ones love lunches like this. We have a yumbox and a polar gear bento style box but I love the look of Monbento Tresor Box you have used with the removable individual compartments. 😀
