Today I'm sharing the last of the 'Daddy lunches' (for now; hopefully there will be more to come in the future!). Small Child requested a Lightning McQueen themed lunch that day, which left Mr Amazing a bit stumped! I think he did a great job though, and Small Child certainly went to school happy with his Cars themed lunch.
In this lunch Small Child had ham sandwiches, on seeded bread with sweetcorn relish. Mr Amazing cut the sandwiches out using one of our car shaped snack boxes (genius!). On the side he had raw red and yellow pepper and cucumber, cut into mini car shapes, blueberries (including some threaded onto cocktail stick 'axles' to make a set of wheels, and a pot of organic blueberry yoghurt, topped with fresh raspberries and blueberries to decorate. The lunch was finished off with a mini chocolate coin, road sign cupcake picks and a plastic Lightning McQueen cupcake topper.
I loved seeing what Mr Amazing came up with for his week of lunches, and I have been very proud to share them here on the blog. If you missed the other four lunches, you can check them out by clicking on the 'Daddy Makes Lunch' tab in the menu bar above. I hope to convince him to make some more in the future!
