Today is the last day of 2015, I really can’t believe it, where has this year gone?! I thought I’d take a few minutes and look back over what has been a really great year for me and for Eats Amazing, and share the 10 recipes and blog posts that have been most popular with you all, my wonderful readers!
But first, I’m taking quick look back over what 2015 has been for Eats Amazing! Earlier this year I was hugely honoured to be shortlisted in the Food category of the BiB (Brilliance in Blogging) Awards 2015. I attended my first ever blogging conferences including BritMumsLive, Blog On Win and a couple of fantastic Blog Camps organised by the team behind Tots100 and Foodies100, meeting some of my favourite bloggers and forming some lovely friendships along the way, and had an absolutely amazing day visiting River Cottage HQ too. I worked with some really great companies, including Capri-Sun Fruit Crush, (a real highlight of this campaign was hosting a fun lunch packing workshop for fellow parent bloggers), Organix, Schwartz, Green Giant, Stork, Munchkin UK, The Royal Mint and Hovis®, among many others.
I took my first tentative steps into making videos (pop over to the Eats Amazing YouTube channel to view them, and do subscribe while you’re there!) and put a huge amount of work into improving my photography skills too. I’ve ended the year on a real high, being listed in Vuelio’s (formally Cision) Top 10 Recipe Blogs for 2015, the Top 10 Foodies100 Blogs 2015, #3 of the Tots100 Top 10 Family Food Blogs 2015 and #2 of the Tots100 Top 10 Instagram Bloggers of 2015.
All of these amazing experiences wouldn’t be possible without the community that has built up around Eats Amazing over the last few years. From the lovely group of people in the Eats Amazing Lunch Packing Community (come over and join us there, if you haven’t already!), to the loyal supporters of my Facebook page, Instagram page, Pinterest profile and Twitter feed, and of course anyone who has popped by and had a read of the blog itself, I wouldn’t be here without you, so thank you so much for your support in 2015, and here’s to an even more amazing 2016, filled with delicious food and endless creativity for us all!
Back to the blog posts, here are the 10 most popular recipes and blog posts on the Eats Amazing blog this year:
At number 10, this Pancake Muffins Recipe came about after my attempts at making American style pancakes ended in disaster, but pouring them into muffin cases and baking them instead saved the day in a rather delicious way!
At number 9, these Frozen Banana Bites proved to be a big hit with the kids – a yummy snack that feels like dessert, you can even eat them for breakfast!
At number 8, the round-up of my Alphabet Themed Bento Lunches proved to be my most popular bento lunch post, I really enjoyed making these alphabet bento lunches though some of the letters were rather challenging!
At number 7, these Easy Mini Quiches made by Small Child were very popular for picnics and lunch boxes alike – check out the original post for a child friendly recipe sheet so your child can have a go at making them too!
Number 6 was this delicious Strawberry Granola Frozen Yoghurt Bites Recipe, a yummy treat for the summer, I couldn’t stop eating these myself!
At number 5 was my 60 Lunch Box Food Ideas to Mix & Match post, which provides a total of 248,832 possible food combinations for packing in lunch boxes, enough to keep anyone going for a school year or two!
At number 4, the Easy Minion Cupcakes I made for Small Child’s birthday last year continued to be a hit, I’m so pleased that they went down as well with everyone else as they did with Small Child!
At number 3, these Frozen Banana Yoghurt Bites make another delicious snack, and they’re healthy enough to eat for breakfast too!
Speaking of breakfast, my round-up of 15 Healthy Breakfast Ideas for Kids was a real hit, and I must admit I actually continue to refer to it myself whenever we get stuck in a breakfast rut!
Last but not least, in the top position of the most popular recipe from the Eats Amazing blog this year are my Frozen Fruity Yoghurt Bites! This super simple recipe for kids makes a delicious healthy snack, dessert or even breakfast, and they’re easy enough for even a toddler to make!
I hope you enjoyed these recipes, thank you so much for your support this year and I hope you all have a fantastic 2016!
